Ty Coughlin is a scumbag

Apparently according to a marketer who runs another company Ty Coughlin is a scumbag. This is based on the allegation that Ty is doing negative advertising campaigns against other successful home business owners.

Unfortunately, this guy has got it all wrong. You see with the reverse funnel system we all market the same page and it may be true that some marketers are creating less wholesome advertising campaigns, but that has nothing to do with Ty. Now that this business is exploding, all sorts of people are getting on board.

He also makes one other observation which I found very interesting. He said that with the reverse funnel system, we only make a 33% commission whereas on his products people make a 100% commission. If you think about this for a second, that means that his product has no wholesale value at all whereas the GRN product is actually a very valuable product indeed.

Now I haven’t met Ty Coughlin yet, but I have met his close business partner Don Glanville on a number of occasions both in the US and overseas and I know him to be a man of the highest integrity. If he chooses to associate himself with Ty then that is good enough for me. So, Ty Coughlin is no scumbag at all. This other marketer has got it all wrong and his rant is doing him a disservice.

How good is Camtasia Studio 5?

Absolutely awesome, that’s how good. I have not done online screen capture before and yet I was doing my first recording within 30 minutes of downloading the trial.

Oh and the trial is a fully functional 30 day trial. But I have already decided that I will be paying the $299 for my copy. The best feature for me is the noise reduction audio enhancement. If you have any humming or buzzing in the background because of your computer or other device, this completely removes it. I was blown away when I tried that button.

It is absolutely goign to help in the training of my team in the reverse funnel system.

It has zoom feature which helps to show small areas of the screen that you are focussing on and makes sure that everyone can see what you are explaining. Although I can see the benefits of this feature, for me it is currently too active and seems to zoom in to areas that I don’t want it to. Most likely this is because I move my mouse too erratically.

Anyway, for anyone wishing to record some screen capture videos this is definitely the tool to have.

Reverse Funnel System training

Ok, I said I was going to do it and now I have started. I am putting together the most comprehensive resource of training for my team members. This will be exclusively for people who join my team and includes everything that I have learnt over the last few years online.

I have decided to do it as video training, so people can see me doing exactly what I am talking about, live on their screen. They can pause and play as they wish and copy me exactly. I am creating 3 categories. The basic videos will go over everything needed to get your business off the ground and is perfect for the complete beginner who may be overwhelmed with trying to do everything.

The intermediate videos describe techniques to create additional efficient sources of leads which will be suitable for people who have had some experience in marketing before.

The advanced techniques will take things to another level and I will show every little trick and tool that I know and use to build this business. Having spent the kind of money and time I have over the last few years, I am sure that there will not be another resources around likee this anywhere.

The side-effect of this will be huge. My team members can learn in their own time and at their own pace. They will rapidly become very competent at this business. Indeed, only the basic videos are all that is needed to create that standard 6-figure income. I can’t wait to get his done.

The Reverse Funnel System a pyramid scheme

I have seen this written and heard one or two people mention this so here’s my take on it.

As far as the law goes, a pyramid scheme is any opportunity in which people make money solely from enrolling others. It is illegal in most countries. This is different, because people get paid for selling memberships to a travel membership club. The retail cost of the membership is $2995 and the wholesale cost is $995. The $2k in the middle is effectively a business running cost.

When you pay $200k for a Ferrari, did it really cost that much to make? I don’t think so. Granted, there is a bit more carbon fibre in it then your standard car, but I doubt if the raw materials cost more than $50k. That $150k difference includes branding, advertising and commissions for the dealerships.

The $1000 that I make on a sale recognises that I had to do the advertising and marketing of the product and the company does not have to. The product itself used to sell fot $10k, it’s just that with modern technology it is possible to spend a lot less on marketing and get the same results.

So my business here is to sell memberships to GRN for less than a $1000 cost. It just happens that the Reverse Funnel System is so efficient and effective that we can do it for a tiny, fraction of that.

So, back to the ‘pyramid’ element. This revolves around the compensation plan which means that every time someone I bring into the business makes a sale, I make $1000 as well. This is similar to several other compensation plans within the network marketing industry, as it is almost standard to pass up payments to your upline. This recognises the training and support that an upline gives. It acts as an incentive for me to help and make sure that my team members are also successful. An analogy here would be that of a franchise business owner. Yes, they make money on the initial sale, but they will keep making money on the annual franchise fees. However, they will only keep making that money whilst their franchisee’s business stays open - an incentive to help make them successful. The only difference here is that the comp plan in the reverse funnel system provides a much stronger incentive for me to make sure my team is successful.

Also, in a pyramid, you would expect that the people at the top would make all the money and the poeple lower down would make less and less, down to nothing at all. Well, I can make a lot more money than the people above me , if I do more work. If I bring in more people on my team and help them to make more sales then I will easily surpass the earnings of my upline. I really like this idea, because unlike in the corporate world where a junior executive or salesperson will never make more than a senior exec or ceo. This is quite common in this industry.

So, in conclusion - Yes, I can see how the inexperienced or uninformed would think this is a pyramid scheme, but in reality it is no more a pyramid scheme than any traditional business. It is network marketing, or a spin-off of multi-level marketing, but these are very valid business models.
